1. "My Garden"
- Create a picture of your
garden (real or imaginary)
by using pressed plant
materials, crayons, coloured
pencils, markers and/or paints.
Cover the picture with clear
Mactac. Picture to be created
on 8.5"xll" paper eg cardstock.
2. "Gift for Mom"
- An arrangement of Spring
flowers suitable for Mother's
Day.
3. Tulips - 3 stems,
any colour(s).
4. "You are My Sunshine"
- A yellow arrangement
5. "Thinking of You"
- Create a card, using pressed
plant materials. Drawings and/or
pictures may be used to enhance
your card. "Thinking of You" must
be printed on the card either
inside or outside. Cover plant
materials with Mactac.
6. Drawing and printing
- Print the poem by Chief Dan
George (next panel), adding
descriptive drawings to
illustrate the poem using black
ink on 8.5"xll" white paper.
The drawing portion may be
coloured in suitable natural
colouring.
7. "Fire Wood - The Good, the
Bad and the Evil" - Essay
to be composed in your own words.
Information may be computer/
internet generated. Display in a
Duotang folder. Name and describe
some of the insects that are
harming our trees (the bad and
evil). Give information on how to
identify these insects. Give a way
we can all help protect trees (the
good). Drawings, photos and/or
magazine pictures may be used.
8. "White Pine" - Ontario's
Provincial Tree. A drawing to
include the entire tree, cone
shape, number of needles,
trunk/bark and root etc. Include
the printed name, along with the
botanical name. Compose the
drawing on Bristol board 8.5"x 11".
Drawing may be done in any media
(pen, pencil crayons, crayons etc.)
